Churches Partnering with the 1017 Project

Affiliate Churches

The 1017 Project has now partnered with churches in Texas and Oklahoma to launch a “1017 Project Affiliate Program” in their church. Shiloh Ranch has sent 1017 herd stock from Oregon to the South, so there is no start up cost for these partnering churches. SRCC will retain ownership of all original heifers sent, and all heifers born into the project. Affiliate churches will hold ownership of all bull calves born. The individual churches are responsible for recruiting volunteer labor and pasture to keep cost minimal. After their expenses are deducted, remaining profit margin (career bull calves) must be donated to food banks in their areas. Annually, heifers born into affiliate programs are delivered to a designated location. These heifers will then be used to resource other churches. This allows the 1017 project to grow beyond its current borders and resources, while equipping and locking arms with other churches and organizations. The goal of the 1017 project is to strengthen ministry outreach and provide meat to those in need. Partnering with other church bodies and organizations allow all involved to collectively build the 1017 Project while expanding and maximizing it’s impact and outreach potential.
